1. Aging Roof Materials

Age is one of the most recurrent indicators that you need a change in your residential roofing. According to the material quality and local climatic conditions, most asphalt shingle roofs have a life of 15-25 years. When your roof is almost nearing or even surpassing this life span, it might fail to offer any good protection. When your energy bills are going up without any change in usage, it means that your roof is not insulating properly anymore. The roofing systems used in older residential buildings are usually leaky, allowing heat to escape in the winter and enter in the summer. Roof replacement can enhance energy saving and reduce the utility bills. However, investing in a new roof ensures long-term protection, improved efficiency, and peace of mind for years to come.
