Snapchat is a fantastic platform for growing a base of loyal followers, but like any social media platform, it can be frustrating to use (for both users and brands). Snapchat has its own set of rules you need to follow in order to encourage user growth. And many brands have received an error message when submitting their Snapchat saying “why is Snapchat not working” when they attempted to add their brand’s story. This is a common occurrence that I know how to fix.
Check If the Problem causing by Snapchat Side
If you’re having trouble using Snapchat, then there are a few things you can do to fix the problem. Here are some common causes of Snapchat not working and how to fix them. Check if Snapchat is down. If it is, then you’ll see an alert on this page saying so. You can also follow our Twitter account for instant updates about outages.
Check Your Internet Connection
Make sure your phone’s internet connection is working correctly. If you’re connected to Wi-Fi, make sure it’s a strong connection (you may have to restart your router). If you’re using your phone’s data connection, try turning airplane mode on and off again (press and hold the power button until the option appears).
Make Sure Wifi is Connect Properly
If that doesn’t work, go into Settings > WiFi > look for a network with a yellow exclamation point next to it (this means there’s an issue with that network) and tap Clear All APN Settings or Reset Network Settings (these are slightly different options depending on what version of iOS or Android you’re running).
Then reboot your device (turning it off and then back on). This should solve the problem; however, it may not work if an app like Facebook Messenger is causing trouble because clearing those settings will affect other apps as well. Check to See if It’s a Facebook Problem If none of the above works, try to open any other app (like Gmail or Spotify) and see if it’s still slow. If so, it means that the problem is with your phone rather than with Facebook Messenger. In this case, it might be time for a factory reset or reinstallation of the iOS/Android
Check for app updates on playstore
Check for app updates on Google Play. Make sure that you’ve installed any available updates for the Snapchat app. Open Google Play and tap Menu (three vertical dots) > My apps & games > See all apps. Look for Snapchat in the list and tap Update if an update is available. If you see “Installed” next to Snapchat, it means that there are no updates available.
Check if your account is locked by Snapchat
If your Snapchat application is not working, the first thing to check is if your account has been locked by Snapchat. This can happen if you have violated their Terms of Service and thus, it could be your fault. If that’s the case, then you will have to wait for a few days before your account can be unlocked.
Unlocking Steps
How to Unlock Snapchat Account: Snapchat is one of the most popular social media apps which has been around for quite some time now. It was initially launched in 2011, and it made its way into the market as a photo-sharing app. However, over time, it has developed into a leading communication platform that is used by millions of users all over the world.
Snapchat offers its users several features that they can use to share their life experiences with others. It allows users to send photos and videos without worrying about their privacy because the content is automatically deleted after 10 seconds or less. However, there are times when you may want to keep certain snaps on your account permanently despite knowing that they will self-destruct after being viewed by the recipient. You can do this by unlocking your Snapchat account so that you can view all snaps sent to you by friends and family members.
Restart your phone or tablet
Sometimes an app will stop working because something has interfered with its ability to communicate with your device’s hardware components or software libraries. Restarting your phone will force all running processes to close down and make sure everything is back online again before trying to open Snapchat again.
Delete Snapchat App and Install it Again
Sometimes when we install an app, our phone gets filled up with unnecessary files which cause errors while running any particular application. This can also be one of the reasons why your Snapchat is not working properly. To fix this issue all you need to do is delete the application and again install it on your device.
