Which one is better NDA or CDS?

CDS EXAM  AND NDA EXAM 2022-

Combined Defense Service exams and National Defense Academy are both abbreviations for the same thing. The purpose of these two tests is to choose officers for the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force. The format of each exam is distinct, and each has its own eligibility requirements. But in this article, we’ll go into great detail regarding the examinations and let you know which one is best if you’re interested in the military. Which is better: joining the NDA or the CDS?

We will go over each one individually before deciding which is the best to join if you have a strong interest in defence.

Nda exam 2022 :

National defence (NDA) – This test is conducted twice-yearly, which is administered by Union Public Service Commission, or UPSC. Immediately following your 12th grade, you can apply. whereas it differs in CDS

Maximum age for NDA :

The NDA’s age range is just 16.5 to 19.5 years old.

Your age at the time of training should not be greater than 19.5.

NDA eligibility requirements :

Physics and maths are required in 10+2. When applying, your age cannot be less than 16.5. If you are a 12th grader. You may also apply after that.

NDA selection process :

a written test (conducted by UPSC)

SSB Interview :

Medical test

Once you pass all of these exams. You’ll be a cadet at the National Defense Academy for three years. Then, for a two-year training period, you will be transferred to your respected wings in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, or Indian Air Force. The Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, or Indian Air Force Academy will receive you. That would have an impact on how well you performed throughout the previous three years at the academy. To earn the desired wings, you must do well in the academy.

This was about NDA; let’s now discuss CDSE.

CSS Exam 2022 –

CDSE also known as CDS

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) also administers the Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) twice a year. The selection process is the same, however, the age requirement and eligibility requirements are substantially different.

You will be sent directly to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), or Indian Air Force Academy (AFA) for two years of training after passing the CDSE. Your performance on the written test and in the SSB interview will determine which academy you will join.

Maximum Age for CDSE

The age requirements for each academy vary, so we’ll go over them one at a time:

  • IMA: Candidates for IMA must be between the ages of 19 and 24.
  • AFA: Candidates for AFA must be between the ages of 19 and 24.
  • INA: Candidates for INA must be between the ages of 19 and 22.
  • OTA: Candidates for OTA must be between the ages of 19 and 27. (Women may apply for this)

CDSE eligibility requirements

  • Only after graduation are you eligible to apply for the CDS exam.
  • Candidates who are in their final year of school may also apply.
  • The applicant must have earned at least 60% on his graduation exam.

Which is better? CDS or NDA

Look, each of these academies performs best in its own location. However, if you’ve made the decision to join the military, I advise you to apply to the NDA because there is less competition and a higher chance of selection. Your life is going to be great, stress-free, and highly respected. You won’t have to worry about things like your job or college life. The nicest part is that you won’t have had to compete in the rat race because everyone usually starts preparing after graduation. If you can’t qualify NDA anyhow, CDS is not bad. As soon as you graduate, you can start CDS preparation. The only difference between the two is the training schedule. You will receive 3+2 years of training while in NDA. Additionally, you will receive two years of reputable wings-based training in CDS.

For CDSE or NDA cadets, salaries and advancement are equal. It’s about opportunity rather than uniqueness. You have two chances: one after you finish eighth grade and the other after you graduate. Now it’s up to you whatever way you like most.

Nothing is simple or difficult. You barely have enough noon for the whole country. and there are no significant differences between the two that should be mentioned here.

At the end, it’s a matter of pride and honor to serve the country and once you get into any one of these services your life will settle and you will get all the perks and remuneration which is beyond your expectation.  In this job, the most important thing that you are going to enjoy is ‘’satisfaction’’ which no other job can provide you in the entire world. You are not doing a job for anyone in this post but serving your country.
